Last updated: 20 August 2026These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to psychological consultations and related services provided by Daria Kuzina, operating as a sole trader in the United Kingdom (“I”, “me” or “my”).
By booking or purchasing a consultation or package of consultations, you agree to these Terms.
1. Nature and scope of servicesI provide psychological consultations intended to support personal development and psychological wellbeing.
My approach may include reflective psychological work, practical psychological tools and PSYCH-K® processes where appropriate and agreed with you. PSYCH-K® is not necessarily used in every consultation.
My services do not constitute medical, psychiatric or emergency mental health care and are not a substitute for diagnosis or treatment by an appropriately qualified medical, psychiatric or other regulated healthcare professional.
I do not work with clients with diagnosed mental health conditions. If you have a diagnosed mental health condition, please seek support from an appropriately qualified mental health professional.
2. SuitabilityBefore beginning paid work, I may offer an introductory conversation to understand what brings you to consultation and whether my services are appropriate for your needs.
I reserve the right to decline to begin working with a prospective client or to discontinue our work where I reasonably believe that:
• your needs fall outside my competence or scope of practice;
• another type of professional support would be more appropriate;
• continuing our work would not be appropriate or beneficial; or
• there are other reasonable professional or ethical reasons for doing so.
Where appropriate, I may suggest that you seek support from another professional or service.
3. ConsultationsConsultations are currently provided online.
The available session lengths, services and current fees are stated on the website or communicated to you before booking.
Services may include individual consultations and packages of multiple consultations.
4. Booking and paymentFollowing the introductory process, where applicable, we will agree the time and format of your consultation.
Payment is normally required in advance by bank transfer unless otherwise agreed.
A booking is confirmed once the appointment has been agreed and any required payment has been received.
Current fees and package prices are stated on the website or otherwise communicated to you before purchase.
5. Cancellation and reschedulingYou may cancel or reschedule a consultation by giving at least
24 hours’ notice before its scheduled start time.
Where less than 24 hours’ notice is given, the consultation will normally be charged in full. If the consultation forms part of a package, that session will normally be treated as used.
If you do not attend a scheduled consultation without giving notice, the consultation will normally be charged in full or treated as used if it forms part of a package.
If I need to cancel a consultation, I will offer you an alternative appointment or refund the amount paid for that consultation.
Nothing in this section affects any statutory rights you may have as a consumer.
6. Late arrivalIf you arrive late, the consultation will normally finish at the originally scheduled time.
Where my schedule allows, I may agree to extend the consultation on the day, but I cannot guarantee that additional time will be available.
7. PackagesWhere packages are available, the current number of consultations, price and any applicable conditions will be stated on the website or communicated to you before purchase.
If you decide to discontinue a package before using all of the consultations, consultations already used will be recalculated at the standard individual-session rate applicable to those sessions, and any remaining balance will be refunded, subject to your statutory rights.
Individual consultations within a package remain subject to the cancellation and no-show provisions above.
Packages are personal to the client who purchased them and may not be transferred to another person unless otherwise agreed.
Packages must be used within six months of purchase unless otherwise agreed.8. Consumer cancellation rightsIf you are a consumer entering into a contract for services at a distance, you may have a statutory right to cancel the contract within
14 days without giving a reason, subject to applicable law and exceptions.
If you ask me to begin providing services during this 14-day cancellation period, I will obtain your express request to do so.
If you subsequently exercise your statutory right to cancel after services have begun at your request, you may be required to pay for the services already provided up to the time you cancel, as permitted by law.
Where a service has been fully performed during the cancellation period following your express request and the acknowledgements required by law, your statutory right to cancel that service may be lost.
These statutory rights are separate from the 24-hour cancellation policy for individual appointments.
UK government guidance specifically says that where a consumer wants services to commence during the 14-day cancellation period, the trader should obtain explicit consent on a durable medium and explain the payment consequence if the consumer subsequently cancels.
9. ConfidentialityInformation shared during consultations is treated as confidential.
Confidentiality may be limited where disclosure is required by law or where I have serious concerns about your safety or the safety of another person.
Wherever reasonably possible and appropriate, I would seek to discuss this with you before taking action.
Further information about the processing of personal information is provided in the Privacy Policy.
10. Online consultationsYou are responsible for having a suitable internet connection, compatible device and reasonably private environment for an online consultation.
While reasonable steps are taken to use appropriate technology, I cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of third-party communication services or internet connections.
If a consultation is materially disrupted by a technical problem, we will agree a reasonable way to proceed depending on the circumstances.
11. No guarantee of outcomesPsychological and personal-development work is individual, and outcomes vary from person to person.
While I aim to provide my services with reasonable care and skill, I cannot guarantee any particular personal, psychological, professional, relationship, financial or other outcome.
You remain responsible for your own decisions, actions and choices outside consultations.
12. Emergencies and urgent supportMy services are not an emergency or crisis service, and I do not provide continuous or urgent support between consultations.
If you require urgent medical, psychiatric or emergency assistance, please contact the appropriate emergency or healthcare services in the country where you are located.
13. Ending our work togetherYou may choose to stop working with me at any time, subject to the payment, cancellation and package provisions applicable to services already booked or purchased.
I may also end our work where I reasonably consider this professionally or ethically appropriate, including where your needs fall outside my scope of practice.
Where reasonably possible, I will discuss this with you and, where appropriate, suggest alternative sources of support.
14. Intellectual propertyUnless otherwise stated, materials provided to you as part of our work are for your personal use only.
They may not be reproduced, published, distributed, sold or commercially exploited without permission, except where permitted by law.
15. LiabilityNothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
Subject to applicable law, I am not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when our agreement was entered into or for losses arising from circumstances outside my reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
16. ComplaintsIf you have a concern or complaint about my services, please contact me in the first instance at
DariaK.balance@gmail.com so that I have an opportunity to understand and address the issue.
17. Governing lawThese Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer resident outside England and Wales, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protections under the laws applicable where you live that cannot lawfully be excluded by these Terms.
